Sustainable solution

Unfortunately with time, fly screens can be subject to wear and tear. When the mesh forms holes it is a far less effective screening solution. Rather than replacing the whole unit, simply repairing the mesh of your screen is a far more sustainable solution.

Remeshing

Repairing, or re-meshing, is a sustainable, cost-effective solution for a window or door with tears. It is the perfect alternative to replacing fly screens, whether the insect mesh has holes, is broken or has tears, we can fix it again – no need to throw away a whole window or door frame!

We offer a number of remeshing solutions that can suit 99% of fly screen products, with most mesh suitable for all of our window and door screens. The only fly screen we cannot repair is the Ventalite range, as that unit comes installed within a sealed aluminium cassette.

Our Meshes
Our Meshes

We have a wide range of different mesh types available to meet the needs of almost all fly screens. Sometimes you know exactly what types of bug to expect – if you normally only experience the irritation of bluebottles and bees but want to enjoy the most sunlight possible, then a wider mesh might be perfect for you, however, if you live in the Scottish Highlands and want to be rid of midges, then a much finer mesh might need to be used. Luckily, we do it all.

Avoiding Damage
Avoiding Damage

Insect mesh is designed to stop bugs and pests from entering your home, when torn or damaged they are far less effective. There are ways to help prevent this damage being caused though. The easiest method is simply to just be careful around your flyscreen windows and doors, avoid having sharp objects near the mesh that could tear it and make sure to be careful when cleaning. It may also be worth considering pet mesh if you have animals with sharp claws that could damage your screen.
